After a gold+ debut album, and rigorous touring schedule, DJ Diamond went went on to explore new ventures. Still burning with a desire for creating music, DJ Diamond moved forward with another rapper named MC EZ (Craig Mack) producing an underground classic called "Get Retarded". There he found his home. The battlefield remained victorious for DJ Diamond. After winning several titles, he landed one of the most prestigious positions possible for a DJ. He became the tour DJ for Prince and the New Power Generation. This position afforded DJ Diamond to rub elbows with some of the biggest names in the industry (Patty Labelle, Madonna, Bono of U2, Lenny Kravitz, Carmen Elektra, etc…) After doing two world tours and co-producing projects with Prince, he decided it was time to go back to his first love which was Hip-Hop. Upon his return to New York, he bumped in to long-time friend, Poetic of Gravediggaz, who immediately recruited him to be their official tour DJ. Back in his preferred element, DJ Diamond began sharpening his lyrical skills. A few choice features landed him his first solo recording contract. However, still passionate about his craft, DJ Diamond tried out for MTV/P. Diddy’s Making the Band II, effortlessly beating all of the DJ’s in the country. He was Diddy’s #1 pick for the band.
